 For the Love of the Game was founded in 2004 in the U.S.A. by husband and wife, Clive and Sally Hulbert. Both grew up in England and now live and work in Los Angeles. Clive has extensive soccer experience, both as a player and a coach, and Sally is an NNEB qualified child educator with many years of experience working with young children. They strongly believe the key to coaching this age group is to create a positive fun environment and let the game be the teacher. Together they created an age-appropriate football based curriculum and developed our first 'Soccer for Tots' programme.
After training in the U.S., Glen and Jane Tritton launched the programme in the UK in 2005, where it has been really well received. Due to a high re-enrolment rate and many members recommending the course to friends the programme is growing rapidly and new locations are always being added. Our classes allow each child the opportunity to develop their soccer skills at their own pace without the pressure of competition. Our members have the best possible introduction to soccer, allowing them to develop a true love of the game that creates a desire to practice, improve and succeed.
Outstanding Instruction Sets Us Apart
Our classes are small, activities are designed around one on one time with the ball and our coaches trained to bring out the best in your child. Our coaches have all been fully trained in the ‘Soccer for Tots’ curriculum and have completed full CRB checks. Selected for their ability to work with this age group, their own ‘love of the game’ and their soccer experience all contribute to making our programme unique. Their natural ability to relate to young children is what makes them GREAT coaches – ask our members!
